Abstract (italiano): SAFE-CHANGES è un progetto di scambio virtuale mirato a sviluppare competenze e consapevolezza dei giovani sul vasto tema della sicurezza di Internet (cybersecurity, dipendenza da Internet, rischi sociali e affidabilità delle informazioni) in paesi caratterizzati da differenze significative nell'uso e nell'accessibilità di Internet (Italia, Turchia, Tunisia, Libano, Algeria). Il programma coinvolge beneficiari target in particolare con minori opportunità come NEET, abbandoni scolastici precoci e migranti e rifugiati in particolare della diaspora siriana di età compresa tra 13 e 30 anni. Il progetto include attività co-sviluppate che mirano a un totale di 1.216 beneficiari da 8 organizzazioni in 5 paesi. Una formazione per operatori giovanili rivolta a 240 beneficiari + 16 membri dello staff dell'organizzazione partner e moduli SAFE-EX-CHANGES (4 moduli in un ciclo all'anno per organizzazione) implementati da tutte le organizzazioni che stimoleranno il dialogo interculturale, l'uso di Internet sicuro e dei social media e lo sviluppo di competenze nell'uso di strumenti digitali per l'apprendimento, l'insegnamento e la condivisione di contenuti per un totale di 960 beneficiari. Inoltre, in ognuno dei tre anni del progetto i giovani coinvolti condivideranno in modo collaborativo 4 output diversi (opuscoli di narrazione, opuscoli di buone pratiche e video), per output che ogni anno creeranno un set di strumenti riutilizzabili. Sotto il coordinamento dell'Università Sapienza di Roma (Italia), tutte le organizzazioni, università, ONG ed enti pubblici, coopereranno all'implementazione degli scambi fornendo supporto a livello locale e virtuale a tutti i processi e organizzando eventi di disseminazione moltiplicatori sia online che locali. L'approccio bottom-up e sensibile al contesto e al genere di SAFE-CHANGES rende il progetto un valore aggiunto unico tra le soluzioni disponibili per i giovani con minori opportunità, per lo più fuori dall'iscrizione all'istruzione superiore.
Abstract (inglese): SAFE-CHANGES is a virtual exchange project aimed at developing youth skills and awareness on the broad topic of internet safety (cybersecurity, internet addiction, social risks, and information trustfulness) in countries characterized by significant differences in internet usage and accessibility (Italy, Turkey, Tunisia, Lebanon, Algeria). The programme involves target beneficiaries especially with lesser opportunities like NEETs, early school dropouts, and migrant and refugees especially from the Syrian diaspora aged between 13 and 30. The project includes co-developed activities targeting a total of 1.216 beneficiaries from 8 organization in 5 countries. A training for youth workers targeting 240 beneficiaries + 16 staff members of the partner organization and SAFE-EX-CHANGES modules (4 modules in a cycle per year per organizations) implemented by all organization that will stimulate intercultural Dialogue, the use of Safe Internet and social media and the Development of skills in using Digital Tools for learning, teaching, and sharing content for a total of 960 beneficiaries. Moreover, each of the three years of thee project young people involved will collaboratively share 4 different outputs (Storytelling booklets, Best Practice Booklets, and Videos), for outputs each year that will build a set of reusable tools. Under the coordination of Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), all organizations being universities, NGOs and Public Bodies will cooperate to the implementation of the exchanges giving support locally and virtually to all process and organize both online and local multiplier dissemination events. Bottom-up and context and gender sensitive approach of SAFE-CHANGES makes the project a unique added value among the solutions available to youth with fewer opportunities, mostly out of higher education enrolment.

Abstract (italiano): SHADOW-EN-ROUTE è un'attività culturale e sociale che esplora le radici del teatro delle ombre in Turchia e nel Medio Oriente nella sua migrazione attraverso la Grecia e infine nel resto d'Europa. Il progetto traccia un parallelo tra i temi degli incontri culturali e delle diverse etnie tipici del teatro delle ombre tradizionale e le attuali esperienze di migrazione. Lo fa attraverso l'organizzazione di attività di rafforzamento delle capacità e workshop che coinvolgono bambini e giovani provenienti da contesti migratori in partecipazione con i membri della comunità ospitante nella narrazione, animazione e condivisione dei loro diversi percorsi di migrazione e incontro in Turchia (coinvolgendo i rifugiati siriani nelle aree di confine), in Grecia (dove i rifugiati sono bloccati a metà strada) e in Italia (dove i migranti hanno completato il loro viaggio). Il progetto coinvolge sia un aspetto di ricerca significativo che esplora il teatro delle ombre turco e la sua evoluzione nel mondo arabo e in Europa, sia tecniche, lingue, aspetti narrativi. Questa parte porterà a una serie di pubblicazioni scientifiche. Il progetto collega la conservazione del patrimonio culturale immateriale del teatro delle ombre all'opportunità di dare espressione ai bambini rifugiati e migranti, ai giovani e alla comunità ospitante e di rappresentare la ricchezza della diversità in Europa. Il progetto coinvolge ricercatori, artisti, formatori (20) e bambini e giovani provenienti da o in Italia, Grecia, Spagna e Turchia (con un totale di 270 coinvolti nelle performance e 27 nella narrazione). Il progetto svilupperà tre scenari specifici di viaggio-migrazione, incontro culturale e mescolanza linguistica che rappresentano il loro paese. I nove scenari condivisi saranno messi in scena e rappresentati in Italia, Grecia e Turchia in performance pubbliche. I risultati attesi includono una registrazione video delle 27 performance (nove in ogni lingua/paese), un libro di progetto, un sito web e un evento finale alla Sapienza di Roma.
Abstract (inglese): SHADOW-EN-ROUTE is a cultural and social action exploring the roots of shadow theatre in Turkiye and the Middle East in its migration through Greece and finally to the rest of Europe. The project draws a parallel from themes of cultural encounters and diverse ethnicities typical of traditional shadow theatre to the current migration experiences. It does this by the organisation of capacity building activities and workshops involving children and youth from migrant backgrounds in participation with host community members in the storytelling, animating and sharing their different migration and encounter path in Turkiye (involving Syrian refugees in border areas), in Greece (where refugees are blocked half-way) and in Italy (where migrants have completed their journey). The project involves both a significant research aspect exploring Turkish Shadow Theatre and its evolution in the Arab World and in Europe, but also techniques, languages, storytelling aspects. This part will lead to a series of scientific publications. The project links the preservation of the intangible cultural heritage of shadow theatre to the opportunity of giving expression to refugee and migrant children, youth and the host community and representing the richness of diversity in Europe. The project involves researchers, artists, trainers (20) and children and youth from or in Italy, Greece, Spain and Turkiye (with a total of 270 involved in performances and 27 in storytelling). The project will develop three specific scenarios of travel-migration, cultural encounter and language mixing representing their country. The nine shared scenarios will be enacted and performed in Italy, Greece and Turkey in public performances. The expected outcomes include a video recording of the 27 performances (nine in each language/country), a project book, a website and a final event in Sapienza in Rome.
